This is a great time to help your customers use their co-op funds to promote Spring cleaning products. Now, we don’t necessarily mean using that “elbow grease” and crawling on your hands and knees cleaning your floors (although this project may be on the list). We are talking about bigger projects, such as fresh paint in your living room, staining your deck, checking your sump pump, fixing loose gutters, etc. This can be an exhausting list because it seems like home projects never end, but Spring is the best time to get those done. It gives you time to enjoy your home in the summer and have everything done before the heat and humidity wear you out!

Let’s look at a few Spring Cleanup-related facts that you may be able to incorporate into some great ad campaigns:

Spring Home Cleanup Fun Facts

  • Over 1 billion gallons of Architectural/House paint has been sold in 2025 alone.
  • A typical 2,000 square-foot home may require 10-15 gallons to paint the entire interior.
  • Approximately 30 million single-family homes in the U.S. have decks, with roughly 85% of existing homes having a deck or deck-like structure. While decks are common, they are increasingly being replaced by patios in new construction. Either way, a deck or patio (quite a few are colored concrete), require sealant.
  • A typical, smaller deck requires about two gallons of sealant for a single application. The average cost to professionally seal a deck in 2025 is approximately $969.00.
  • April and May are the ideal times to repair damage to gutters caused by winter ice and snow and to prepare for spring rains.
