Co-op funding and the Super Bowl…you can bet on it (pun intended)! At the time of this writing, the only thing we know for sure is that Usher will perform the Halftime show. We don’t know which teams will be on the field at Allegiant Stadium. As someone who was born in Detroit and has lived in the metropolitan area her whole life, the last couple of weeks have truly been a lot of fun in the Motor City. Not only did Detroit get to host one playoff game, but as of right now, we get a second! The last time a playoff game was held in Detroit was January 8, 1994 (at the old Pontiac Silverdome) – that is a very long dry spell!

Besides all the excitement from the folks in the area, it is very cool to see all the local businesses get involved. I have seen everything from “bring your ticket stubs and get a free pizza” to “come up to our furniture store and enter to win two free tickets”. I can see some of these folks being able to use their co-op funds to promote their giveaways and football “specials”.

Then, we have the brands that are doing national “spots” either on television or in the stadium on game day. If your customer sells any of these brands what a great way to tie-in to the actual game day festivities. Here are some of the national brands that are advertising at Super Bowl 58:

Doritos, DoorDash, Popeyes, NYX Professional Makeup, Reese’s, Intuit Turbo Tax, Kawasaki, Coors Light, Paramount +, PepsiCo, and many more.

The one that really caught my eye on that list was Kawasaki, as this is the first time they have purchased Super Bowl advertising.
