Here is the seventh story that the Localogy Co>Op Connect team has put together. Each week the topics will vary – this week it is covering Jewelry and other Retail brands. They are meant to be a bit of a stress reliever or make you smile, while still calling out brands that offer co-op funding to their reseller network. Anything highlighted below is a brand that offers co-op funding. You never know, one may stick in your head and help you make a fantastic sale!

PANDEMIC CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!

If ever there were any two words that did not go together it would be “Pandemic” and “Christmas”. But it seems like regardless of everyone’s best efforts there is going to be a lot of creative shopping this year. I certainly am one to “brave” the malls, but unfortunately stores are either remaining closed or have such different hours I always seem to get there right when they close.

So, with all that in mind I have already asked all the kids for their Christmas “Wish Lists” and plan to do a mixture of shopping “Local” (favorite boutiques, etc.) and “Online”.

Well, the boys are proving to be easy. They either want some type of clothing I can actually find or sporting equipment. One of them works in a bank so he still dresses business casual every day. He suggested Haggar Clothing for the best fitting slacks. He really wanted Johnston & Murphy shoes but that would really blow up my Christmas budget, so pants it is! Another boy plays on a Men’s “Beer” Hockey League, so an Easton Hockey stick was easy to find and in the budget. The last one wanted the new Samsung Galaxy Android phone. Again, not quite in the budget but I told him I would pitch in and that was well received. Now on to the girls!

The girls buy clothes all year long, for that matter they buy everything all year long (wonder where they learned that from!). Anyway, they always want/need beauty supplies and those things can really add up, especially if they run out all at once. I decided to make all the girls a similar “stocking”. Each stocking had different Aveda products based on their hair type, along with a holiday gift set from Crabtree and Evelyn since they always do great boxes with multiple scents. The one in California is not coming to town this holiday so I will send a card with a Merle Norman gift card so she can buy what she wants when she needs it. The last girl is getting Hair U Wear extensions. I don’t think I have seen her real hair since 2005 so I know she certainly will use them!

I know all four of the girls really like Pandora Jewelry but they all have so much of that, I wouldn’t know what bead or bracelet to get them. Plus, they are all older now and I think they have their hearts set on either Hearts on Fire or Le Vian chocolate diamonds – oh wait…that’s me! Those chocolate diamonds are gorgeous (I hope you are listening Santa!).

Anyway, I certainly made a dent in my shopping list. Now, what to get my 85-year-old father who has everything. Happy Holidays to everyone!
