If you have window and door customers, this is a great time of year for them to use those co-op funds to promote Fall window specials. If you need new windows or entry doors this is the perfect time to get them installed. You certainly don’t want to have the windows replaced when it’s 10 degrees outside, as you will be getting a huge draft in the house while they are trying to fit the new window in. Conversely, you don’t want to replace windows if it is 100 degrees (thinking of you Florida in July and August!) and that expensive air conditioning is flowing right out open window spaces.
Let’s look at a few Window/Door Tips that you may be able to incorporate into some great ad campaigns.
Window/Door Facts
- Climate and weather affect window replacement, as harsher weather requires more frequent changes. In places with high humidity and severe weather events (hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.) you will see a lot of warping and seal failure (due to window and door frames expanding). In cold and snowy regions, you see frames shrink, which affects their ability to seal properly. That then leads to drafts and ice buildup, which over time leads to potential water damage.
- High-quality materials like fiberglass or good-quality vinyl last longer than wood or aluminum. Although the first two may cost more initially, you will really be extending the time between replacements, which will save more money in the end.
- Don’t forget regular maintenance. Cleaning, caulking, and inspections can extend the lifespan of windows and doors. However, in areas with severe weather, replacement may become a more cost-effective solution over time.

Co-op funding is available to all “Circle of Excellence Dealers”. 30% of co-op budget must be allocated to digital advertising. Reimbursement is 50% for traditional advertising and 70% for digital advertising.

Co-op funds must be used by November 30th of each year. Reimbursement is 75% for digital advertising and 50% for traditional advertising.

Reimbursement is 50% for both traditional and digital advertising. Pella Certified Contractors (30k to 150k in purchases) earn 1% as their co-op accrual fund. Pella Platinum (150k and up) earn 2%.
