If the snow is starting to fall in your part of the country, this is a great time to use co-op funds for your snow thrower customers. In November, there were several brands offering special pricing and special finance offers. However, a lot of folks put off this purchase in favor of Christmas shopping, and then one day the snow hits hard, and they are out “panic” shopping for that perfect snow thrower in December. This is also a great time for your customers to sell out last year’s models and get year-end co-op funds while doing it!

Let’s look at a few Snow Thrower Tips that you may be able to incorporate into some great ad campaigns.

Snow Thrower Tips

  • There are both Electric and Gas Snow Blowers. The electric models are ideal if you don’t have a place to store gas properly. It’s also a great option for those with small driveways and sidewalks. There are the corded electric models, which kind of limit you by the length of the extension cord you use, and may be a tripping hazard. The battery-powered models are quieter and lighter – making them easy to maneuver. The smaller gas units are available with either 2-cycle or 4-cycle engines. The smaller ones typically start at 18 inches. These smaller machines are lighter in weight and easier to maneuver and handle (similar to electric models). The next size up is the 20” or 21” size model that has a much larger opening to handle deeper snow and drifting conditions.
  • If the customer that you work with sells two-stage and three-stage throwers, they may want to call out the difference between “Wheeled versus Track” models. The wheeled models have powered wheels for easier movement, while track models offer better traction on hills and inclines but are harder to turn on level ground.
