Here is the third story that the Localogy Co>Op Connect team has put together. Each week the topics will vary – this week it’s Automotive Parts & Accessories. They are meant to be a bit of a stress reliever or make you smile, while still calling out brands that offer co-op funding to their reseller network. Anything shown in blue ink below is a brand that offers co-op funding. You never know, one may stick in your head and help you make a fantastic sale!

It Started with a Squeak

Cars are such a necessary evil. It would be so nice if you could just fill them with regular Phillips 66, change the Amoco Oil every 5 to 8,000 miles, and shine them up with a bit of Turtle Wax every once in a while. But that would be too easy – my problem started with a squeak!

I couldn’t even tell where it was coming from, but it sounded like the back of the car. I pulled into the local muffler shop and asked them to check out my Flowmaster muffler, and all was well. I thought well maybe it is the front and asked if they would check the Flex-a-lite cooling fan – maybe a blade cracked. Again, everything was great there. As I pulled out of the muffler shop the darn squeak started again so I pulled into the closest tire center. I asked the technician to check out my Michelin tires, and my trailer hitch. We had just used the E-Z Loader Boat Trailer to store the boat for the upcoming winter months and maybe something came loose. I now struck out four times – they could not find a thing. I pulled into my garage, turned on my Empire Gas Fired Room Heater, and vowed to find the problem myself. After only five minutes I found the cause of that awful squeak.

There was a Ganz stuffed animal jammed under the driver’s seat and every time I hit a bump – you guessed it – who knew teddy bears squeaked like that. Those darn kids!!
