The next month is a great time to help all auto dealer clients in using their co-op dollars to promote upcoming Labor Day Sales. As you know, many of the new year models had started coming out in July and by late September they are all out and being “advertised”. At the same time the new models are being purchased by dealers for their showrooms (and earning co-op dollars with every purchase!), they most likely have plenty of current year models that they would love to sell to make room for all the new vehicles. The Marketing Managers at the auto dealerships are normally “fluent” in co-op and may know “to the penny” how much in co-op funds they have available to spend. However, there are still plenty of dealerships out there that may not be as fluent in co-op and may have a lot to spend on the current year’s models (not to mention new models), they purchased and don’t have a clue!
This is the perfect time to advertise both the “Let’s Clear the Lot” sales, and “Come on In to See Our New Models”. There are 34 different automobile brands that offer co-op funding to their dealer network, and you will find them all in the Localogy Co-Op Connect Platform.
Below are just a few of the auto brands, and high-level guidelines that appear in the Platform:
Brand Name – Products/Services – High-Level Guidelines
General Motors – Cadillac – New Vehicles/Certified Used/CPO
Dealers earn .50 – 1% for vehicles purchased and reimbursement is 100% for traditional and digital advertising.
BMW of North America – New Cars – New Automobiles, Certified Pre-Owned
Dealers are provided with their accrual fund at the beginning of each year, and it is not modified during the year. Reimbursement is 50% for traditional and digital advertising.
Hyundai Motors – New Vehicles
Dealers earn $250 for each car purchased as their accrual fund. Reimbursement is between 50-100% dependent on media used.
