It’s a great time to talk to your air conditioning distributor and installer clients about their summer advertising need relative to installation and service, as this is a great time for them to use their accrued co-op funds. There are a lot of co-op opportunities in the heating and cooling category. American Standard, Lennox, and Trane, Carrier, Carrier – Bryant, Daikin AC, International Comfort Product – Heil, Rheem Manufacturing – Ruud, and Goodman Manufacturing all have co-op advertising plans.
You can make the co-op process very simple for your distributor/installer clients:
-
- Locate their co-op funds through their sales contact or distributor. If working with a distributor you would go directly to the brand for their fund balance.
- Get the ads pre-approved to make sure they meet the co-op guidelines.
- After the ads run submit their co-op claim.
Localogy offers our clients a Co-op Concierge service where we research accrual balances, obtain pre-approval, and prepare claim packages. One of our clients asked for assistance with an installer that they work with frequently in Iowa. We found that they had just over $15,000 in co-op funding for this customer with Lennox. They were now able to advertise more frequently in the newspaper. The result of this being that they sell more units, then order more units, then earn more co-op funding! Lennox co-op funds can be spent on Print, Radio, TV, Outdoor, Online Banner, and Search Engine Marketing advertising.
With more people working at home these days, air conditioners are running almost non-stop in this heat. It really is a great time to create an installation and/or service ad that utilizes those available co-op dollars!
