It’s time to rope in all those co-op dollars for your advertisers and promote local rodeos and state/city fairs! Summertime is full of fairs, festivals, music in the park, outdoor art shows, local, regional and national baseball games, and of course rodeos. Not only can you create a campaign that ties into these local events to get customers into their stores, but you can also help your advertisers set up booths/make appearances to sell brand name products directly at these events.

Rodeo Trivia

  1. Known by rodeo fans as the “Daddy of ‘em All,” Cheyenne Frontier Days is the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and Western festival. This is a nine-day event that takes place in July.
  2. The Houston Rodeo 2024 had its highest overall attendance since 2017, with 2.55 million people attending the 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s carnival. This event took place both inside and outside at NRF stadium.
  3. In 2023, over 70 million fans attended Major League Baseball games across the U.S. Look at all the advertising opportunities there between the outfield walls, the scoreboard, the programs and booths.
  4. Minor League Baseball has 120 ticket-selling clubs which drew 32,137,365 fans in 2023. On a per-game basis, the average attendance is 4,076 fans per game. At the minor league parks, you often see a lot of advertising for local car dealers, landscape/fertilizer stores and brands, etc.
  5. Just to give you an idea about the number of summer festivals…the state of Michigan has 168 different festivals JUST in the month of July. Can you imagine the number of fairs and festivals in June and August and consider that this is probably close to the same number in every state? The advertising opportunities are incredible!

Listed below are just a couple of the summer related brands that offer co-op funding. For complete details on these brands and to see the additional “brands of summer” that offer co-op you will want to access the Co-Op Connect Platform.
