The Co-op Connect Platform contains all the information needed to ensure that the advertising you create for your customer is compliant with the brand’s co-op program guidelines. One of the MOST important fields to pay attention to is the Performance Period. This tells you the span of time in which the advertiser must spend their co-op funds not to lose them.
The Localogy Co-op Connect team often receives emails or finds notifications on brand portals when doing work for our Concierge customers with reminders that the time to use the funds is soon expiring. We recently saw the following for Hunter Douglas blinds:

As a reminder, 1H Co-Op Funds can be used for qualifying marketing activities that occurred between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2023.
Please be sure to submit your 1H Co-Op Claims on or by 7/31/2023.

There are quite a few programs where you need to spend the money bi-annually (like the 1H mentioned above). Some programs require that you use the funds quarterly. Some require that they need to be used “during the fiscal year”, while the greater majority allow you to spend them the full calendar year.
If you are a Platform subscriber, you can search for programs expiring at the end of each month. You would want to go to “Targets” and then look at “Plans and Promotions Expiring.” You can select any month to see which programs expire at the end of the selected month.
