The Localogy Co-Op Connect team frequently does demos of our co-op platform to potential subscribers and existing subscribers who hire new sales reps. One thing we hear quite frequently is “we will call you back and subscribe later in the year when our advertisers have earned more co-op funds”. Brands offer funding to their reseller channel ALL year long and MANY very popular programs put co-op funds in their resellers accounts as of January 1st of each year as these brands base the accrual money, they provide the resellers from the prior year’s purchases.

There are also brands that run on a fiscal year and plans that provide money monthly that must be spent within 90 days – the guidelines truly do vary.

For instance, 23 programs expire at the end of January, and money starts accruing again in February. 12 programs expire at the end of February, money accrues starting March 1st, and 29 programs expire in March. So that is 64 different brands offering their resellers money that MUST be spent by the end of these time frames, or they lose it.

There are also 493 well-known brands that provide funding from the prior year’s purchases (as mentioned above). Let’s take a look at a few of those below:

Brand Name Product/Service High-Level Guidelines

AGCO Corp. – Agriculture Machinery & Parts
These guidelines apply to 12 different AGCO brands such as Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson and White Planters. All 10 brands are listed in the Co-Op Connect platform. For Loyalty products dealers earn 1.1% and for Parts they earn .75% of prior year purchases. Reimbursement is 50% for dealer created ads and 60% for AGCO created ad. Traditional and Digital advertising is eligible.

Yamaha Motor – Motorcycles, Scooters, ATV’s and Snowmobiles
These guidelines apply to 3 additional brands such as Star Motorcycles and the Yamaha Side by Side and Utility ATVs. Accrual fund is earned on prior 6 month period at the rate of $70 per unit purchased. Reimbursement is 40% for both Traditional and Digital advertising.

Bio-Lab, Inc. – Pool products/chemicals
This is a great example of one that runs from October through September of the following year and funds are earned monthly. Authorized Dealers earn 5% of purchases as their accrual fund. Reimbursement is up to 100% for Traditional and Digital advertising. These guidelines apply to 9 different brands such as BioGuard, Mineral Springs, SpaGuard, etc.
