With everything that is going on this year, it seems like being overly prepared for any type of outcome is a great idea. We have seen everything from toilet paper to disinfectant wipes flying off the shelves and it seems like we never know what the next “impossible to get” item will be. And, with natural disasters like we are seeing in the southern and southwest states (hurricane season), and the fires out west, being ready for anything and everything is certainly the mantra for 2020!
As an Agency or a Media Publisher, I am sure that your advertisers that sell “essential” items are doing a brisk business. One item that comes to mind is a generator. Since this tends to be more of a “big ticket” item, folks tend to put off the purchase but are so glad they did when it’s needed.
If any of your advertisers sell the following brands, this may be just the right time to promote them in their advertising and receive co-op funding for doing so:
- Briggs & Stratton Standby Power Generators
- Cummins Power Generation
- Honda Motor Co. – Power Equipment
- Mi-T-M Corporation
- Winco
- Yamaha Motor – Outdoor Power
All the above brands reimburse a minimum of 50% (some up to 80%) for co-op compliant advertising. This would allow your advertisers to run longer campaigns or purchase larger size ads with the same budget they currently spend. Featuring these brands will also help the customers in their own “backyard” by bringing to their attention an item they may need at the time they need it!
I am sure that you can think of many other items that may come in handy in a potentially dire situation (Insurance, other Hardware items come to mind). The Localogy Co>Op Connect team is ready to assist you with your specific customers in locating such brands. To find out more about specific brands, the Co>Op Connect database, or to receive a 15-minute in-person demo, contact [email protected] or call 866-323-5504.
