In the last few months of 2021, the Localogy Co>Op Connect team has received multiple inquiries regarding both Over the Top (OTT) television and Streaming Radio. The specific question asked is if Co-op funding is available for both. The short answer is yes! Many of the brands have already added specific guidelines to their co-op programs and we expect many more to add these guidelines in 2022.

We have discovered that some brands include their guidelines under “TV” or “Radio”, while others have added guidelines under “Online/Digital” products. For instance, if viewing John Deere Ag & Turf in the database you will see OTT guidelines under TV and Streaming Radio guidelines under Radio. Some of the other brands have added these guidelines under the “Video/Pre-Roll” area which we reflect under the “Online” Eligible Media section. We want to clear up the confusion and make the data consistent. We also want to make it easier for you to search for the brands that offer co-op funding for both Media Types.

We will be moving all OTT/Streaming Radio to the “Online” Eligible Media section. We will remove the guidelines that had appeared under either TV or Radio. This will allow you to do a specific search for either media type. We will leave both TV and Radio as Eligible Media types and you will know that what remains under these fields are the guidelines for true Broadcast stations, etc.

The “Online” Eligible Media section will contain the following fields:

  1. Email & eLead Advertising
  2. Online Display Ads (this field was formerly called Banner Ads and Retail Display Ads)
  3. OTT/Internet TV
  4. Search Engine Marketing (may also include Search Engine Optimization data)
  5. Social Media
  6. Streaming Radio
  7. Video and Digital Pre-Roll
  8. Yellow Pages Online
  9. Website and Website Development Costs

We will be working on moving the data in the first quarter so that everything is in a consistent format and is searchable.

Please note: If a brand does not show guidelines for OTT or Streaming Radio it does NOT mean they will not provide co-op funding for these items. It may be the case where these items have not yet crossed their desks – send it to the brand for pre-approval.
